HUNTINGDON, Pa.— The Juniata College board of trustees has added three new members to begin the 2023-2024 academic year. The newly appointed trustees, Jeff Craft of Sewickley, Pa., David Christopher of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Brad Sterl of Wilton Manors, Fl., will begin their service on Sept. 1, 2023, for three-year terms.

Jeff Craft, managing partner at Deloitte, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Juniata College in 2000. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and began his career at Deloitte in 2000 and became a partner in 2012.

Craft has served as a board member of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra since 2020.

David Christopher, superintendent of the Cumberland Valley School District in Mechanicsburg, Pa., graduated cum laude in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and teaching. He earned a master of education in 2008 and a doctor of education in 2018 from Shippensburg University. Christopher began his career as an elementary teacher in the Huntingdon Area School District in 1996.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators, where he chairs the Innovative Teaching and Learning Committee. Christopher is also a National Center for Education, Research, and Technology member and was recently named to the advisory board.

Brad Sterl, president of Brad Sterl & Associates, Inc., earned a bachelor’s degree in human behavior and the organization in 1976, an MBA at the Fox School of Business at Temple University in 1981 and a certificate in leadership coaching at Georgetown University in 2001. He began his career as an international compensation analyst at the Caltex Petroleum Corporation in New York City in 1981. Sterl founded Brad Sterl & Associates, Inc. in 1999.

He holds Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification and is a professional certified coach (PCC). He served as a board member of NOVA chapter of SHRM, D.C. chapter of the International Coach Federation, and Wilton Manors Planning & Zoning Commission.
