The following requirements lead to certification in Secondary Education in the state of Pennsylvania. The total credits for Secondary Education Social Studies add up to 98 or 99 credits.  You need an advisor in the History Department and an advisor in the Education Department.

General Academic Requirements
First Year Composition and one other English literature course and two mathematics courses, for 12 credits total. Students can take alternative mathematics courses if approved by advisor.
