The interdisciplinary structure of the Juniata’s Organizational Leadership master’s degree program, which features our College’s distinctive expertise in conflict resolution, will enable you to earn a master’s degree that focuses on conflict and change, social entrepreneurship, collaborative partnerships, and the ability to think broadly about leadership in for-profit, nonprofit, and public sectors.

Demonstrated Success: Our alumni have demonstrated success and strength in a variety of leadership and management roles (CEO, VP, Director) in a variety of different organizations—from leading corporations to directing governmental and nonprofit agencies. Many of these alumni leaders are active in Juniata life through their engagement on the Board of Trustees, Alumni Council, the Juniata Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Board and the Accounting, Business, and Economics Advisory Board. They also provide mentorship through guest lectures, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and informal conversations with faculty and current students. Many of these alumni have also pursued graduate degrees to help better prepare them for their current roles.
Interdisciplinarity: The OL program is interdisciplinary in nature and includes study in business, math, communication, peace and conflict studies, ethics, and psychology. Together with Juniata’s new Master of Business Administration program, the OL program presents opportunities for interaction with students and professionals from outside the U.S.
Conflict Resolution Tools: Since the 1970s, Juniata has been known for its innovative and effective curriculum surrounding peace and conflict studies, as administered by the Baker Institute. Those skills are used daily by leaders in a wide variety of organizations and prove especially useful for those who hope to rise above conflict to inspire change and innovation.
