Our Marine Science program combines marine biology, aquatic sciences, oceanography,
mariculture, and practical field methods to produce graduates who can compete in a
growing job market, or be well prepared to go on to graduate school.
We have partnered with the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand to provide
an international experience with full time ocean access. The University of Waikato
Marine Science program is at the Tauranga campus near thriving marine-based industries,
coastal communities, and New Zealand’s busiest port. Students will have ready access
to a variety of marine ecosystems, state-of-the-art laboratory and research facilities,
and some of New Zealand’s leading researchers and science staff.
The knowledge and skills obtained through this program are transferable to other habitats
and environmental fields, and graduates will have obtained good quantitative skills
in data analysis and display, and Geographic Information Systems and Environmetrics.
This program includes the opportunity to study in Hamilton, New Zealand, where you will focus on aquaculture, oceanography, and marine ecology.
