Dr. Fenske joined Juniata College as a faculty member within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Summer of 2026. She completed her Ph.D. (2026) and M.S. (2024) at Penn State University working with Dr. Warner in the SALTs Lab. Her research focused on water quality impacts from energy development and covered a variety of topics, including beneficial use of waste to remediate acid mine drainage, evaluating radioactive isotopes in groundwater near unconventional oil and gas wells, and tracing historical human impact via sediment cores.
Before Pennsylvania, Dr. Fenske attended the University of Texas Arlington where she earned an honors B.S. in Construction Management and an honors B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in sustainable engineering and environmental sustainability studies.
She originally grew up on the coast of California but loves living in rural Pennsylvania with her little family, including her cat (Queen Marley) and her puppy (Miss Winter).
