Pollinator Habitat Restoration at Sparks Farm - June 24 & 25, 2022

  • 12:00 p.m. - Arrive at Juniata Campus
  • 1:25 p.m. - Arrive at Sparks Farm
    • Pollinator habitat restoration pre-sampling activities: Trapping and identifying existing local pollinator species on the Juniata Sparks’ Farm Restoration Area with Dr.’s Uma Ramakrishnan and Dennis Johnson, and the Juniata ESS Student Summer Research Crew.
  • 4:30 p.m. - Rest and cooling off in the Juniata river.

Activities will include dinner, swimming, fishing, kayaking, disc golf, and a campfire.

Overnight Accommodations: Primitive tent Camping at Sparks Farm (weather accommodation at Grove Farm).
*Please note that this camping experience does not have modern bathrooms.

  • 4:30 p.m. - Rest and cooling off in the  lake.

Activities will include: dinner, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and a campfire.

Overnight accommodations: Tent camping (weather accommodation at Grove Farm)
