General Volunteer Support

Promote Juniata as the college of choice by spreading the word about the benefits of a Juniata education.

Encourage Prospective Students to Visit Campus

Discuss the benefits of a Juniata education with qualified prospective students, and provide the Admission Office with the students’ contact information. Encourage the students to schedule a campus visit and consider assisting them by contacting the admission office to make arrangements. You may also wish to accompany the student to campus.

Assist with Off-Campus Interviews

Greet and mingle with prospective students and families at an off-campus interview session near you.

Recruit an outstanding student using the Juniata Community Scholarship

This is more than just filling out a card so they are added to Juniata's mailing list. We ask that you submit a Juniata Community Scholarship form and mentor the student through the admission process. We will keep you updated on the student's interaction with Juniata and ask that you follow up with them periodically. If there is anything you think we should know to better recruit this student, please contact the Admission Counselor. (Students who are accepted and enroll at Juniata will receive a $1,000 scholarship in your name!)

Represent Juniata College at a College Fair

Expand Juniata's reach to more College Fairs all over the country. You can accompany a counselor or JAA volunteer, or cover the event as the Juniata representative.

E-mail/Call Prospective and Admitted Students

A short phone call or e-mail can let a student know that Juniata is the school for them!

Attend a Local Reception

Typically held in the spring, admitted students are invited to meet current students, faculty, staff and alumni. The Admission Counselor may hold a brief information session focusing on the final college decision; the goal of these gatherings is to encourage the students to select Juniata as the next phase of their education!
