This year marks a milestone in Juniata’s history — our 150th anniversary — and we have so much to celebrate.
This season, we welcomed more than 400 new students — including our first nursing cohort — into a thriving learning community. We cheered on academic and athletic successes, celebrated national recognition in college rankings, and reconnected with alumni, families, and friends during Homecoming and Family Weekend. We are looking forward to the momentum of the emerging Gateway Center project, a transformational new space that will strengthen connections between campus and community for years to come.
Since 1876, Juniata has remained true to its mission: to provide an engaging, personalized educational experience empowering our students to develop the skills, knowledge, and values that lead to a fulfilling life of service and ethical leadership in the global community. That mission is alive in every classroom, every team, and every corner of campus today.
As the members of the Class of 2029 experience traditions like Lobsterfest and Mountain Day for their first time, they join the ranks of the generations of Juniatians who came before them and set the tone for those who will come after. Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, our year-long 150th anniversary celebration highlights that spirit of service and leadership, which embodies what it means to be a part of this remarkable community.
Thank you for being part of Juniata’s story. As we celebrate 150 years, we carry forward the values that define us while embracing the momentum that will shape our future.
