President's Circle Membership is given to those who provide gifts to the Juniata Scholarship Fund (JSF) that are equal to or greater than the value of one student scholarship. For this giving year that amount is $2,500. Members of the President's Circle understand that there is no greater gift than the gift of education. Providing need-based support to academically qualified students is an important way to accomplish this and is considered priority giving at Juniata.
Why should you join a Society?
If you are a Juniata alumnus/ae, you are one of a select few - about 12,000 people worldwide - who know, first-hand, the transforming power of the Juniata experience. Those who support Juniata with a leadership gift form an even more select group. The Societies of Juniata recognize this special leadership commitment and reinforce the close relationship between its members and the College. It is with sincere appreciation that their dedication and support is recognized.
Are there benefits to joining a Society?
Members of Juniata Societies receive special communications from the president on a regular basis. These communications may relate information that has yet to be released to the Juniata community or provide additional details of interest regarding Juniata news and events. Additionally, society members may receive special invitations to attend Juniata events, performances, and receptions as guests of the College.
Those who join the President's Circle by committing to the Juniata Scholarship Fund a gift equal to or greater than one average JSF award (this year $2,500) also receive an invitation to attend a special breakfast with the president during alumni weekend.
How can you join a Society?
Annual leadership level gifts to Juniata are recognized by membership in the Societies of Juniata College at these levels:
- Brumbaugh Society - $10,000 or more
- Ellis Society - $5,000 to $9,999
- Quinter Society - $1,000 to $4,999
Heritage Circle members invest in the future of Juniata. Planned gifts provide opportunities for donors to make leadership gifts beyond what they thought possible. In many cases, donors will receive lifetime income in addition to giving in a way that is most efficient for their tax liability. These gifts benefit the donors, their families, and the furtherance of Juniata's mission. These gifts form the basis for buildings, memorials, endowed professorships, scholarships, and lectureships.
