Become a Class Officer
Class officer elections are held at the end of each year for each class except for the Freshman which have elections at both the beginning and end of the year, find your petition here!
Attend Senate Meetings
Take a look at the schedule of our upcoming senate meetings, and attend one! You don't need to be a class officer or a representative to come to our meetings! Any student is allowed to attend meetings and share their input!
CIS Representatives Election
Cis Rep elections are at the beginning of each year. One must be an officer of a club to run for a CIS Rep position, and one may only run for the CIS Rep position that their club is a part of. Only treasurers may run for the Allocations board.
Approvals
The Approvals Board is overseen by the Vice President of Student Government, who presides over it as the Chairperson. The main objective of the Approvals Board is to approve RSO's for future review by the members of the Residential Life office. New RSO's that would like to be considered for approval, must have at least 10 members, an advisor, a President, and a Treasurer. Once all these criteria are met, the Approvals Board will consider them for further review by Residential Life and the Allocations Board from which they will receive funding.
Allocations
Policy Committee is a committee that embraces the legislation of Student Government and is in charge of displaying knowledge of the Constitution and Bylaws by which we run.
Technology
The technology committee is built to adapt Student Government to the growing online world. Duties include management of social media, website design and management, online scheduling, creation of event flyers, and more. Students in the technology committee are encouraged to show off their own talents, bring new ideas to the table, and work to constantly improve digital interactions between Student Government and the greater Juniata College community.

Projects
Projects Committee is responsible for creating and executing projects that are beneficial for the student body and the college as a whole. The Projects Committee will listen to concerns raised by the student body and create initiatives that better serve the greater community. These projects can range from community engagement to global initiatives or academic competencies. The Projects Committee will also work with members of Student Government and the Juniata community to approve that community.
SAUR
Student Advocates for Universal Respect, also known as SAUR, is a student-led organization who serve to support and empower marginalized groups within the community on campus. As senators in Student Government, SAUR serves to educate about issues of biases, addresses said bias incidents, and proposes to amend and vote on legislation with the voice of marginalized groups in mind. This organization will hold campus communities accountable for creating a safe and welcoming environment in the hopes of generating an inclusive space by fostering universal respect.
