Through mutually beneficial partnerships between Juniata College and cross-sector stakeholders, we aim to promote positive health and well-being/wellness outcomes through implementation of a social determinants of health framework and an approach that is grounded in the liberal arts tradition of interdisciplinarity.

We believe mutually beneficial partnerships and high-impact learning opportunities are central to success. We strive to create many avenues by which students can be involved across multiple disciplines and types of positions.

Students gather to work outdoors

• Coordinate the synthesis and sharing of resources/data across sectors.
• Engage with communities to identify community assests/cultural wealth opportunities.
• Build capacity through identification of resources and creation of shared knowledge (trainings/workshops etc.)
• Support evidence-based decision making efforts through identification of data needs, gathering of data through various methods, curration/integration of information sources.
• Create experiential learning opportunities for Juniata faculty, staff, and students to contribute their knowledge and skills to the strengthening of partnerships and community health outcomes.
