Indiana (Pa.) 95, Juniata 66
Indiana, Pa. ? Despite an improved shooting performance as a team, the Juniata College men?s basketball team was unable to slow down the Division II Indiana University (Pa.) offensive attack as the Eagles fell 95-66 in Indiana Wednesday evening. The home team improved to 8-2 on the season, while Juniata dropped to 1-6 overall.

Juniata entered the game shooting just under 40-percent from the field, and was able to shoot 45-percent from the field in tonight?s contest. But with a depleted roster due to injury, the Eagles surrendered 90 points or more for the third consecutive game.

Aaron Chamberlain (Tussey Mountain/Wood) got Juniata off to a fast start as he scored six of his team-high 19 points on a pair of three pointers in the first five minutes of the contest to put Juniata in front by five points. Indiana would come back to take the lead with 11:18 left in the half, and would hold the lead the rest of the way.

The Eagles got back within six points after a pair of free throws from Brian Cannon (Fallston/Fallston, Md.) with less than five minutes to go in the first half. From that point Indiana posted a 19-9 run to end the half.

The second half started the same as the first ended, as the home team extended its lead to 28 with 15 minutes remaining. It was as close as the Eagles got the rest of the way.

Chris Jasiota (Oil City/Oil City) was also in double figures as he scored 10 points. Tommy McConnell (Bishop Guilfoyle/Hollidaysburg) passed out five assists to lead Juniata, while Travis Boyd (Juniata Valley/Barree) and Cannon each had four rebounds.

Indiana had five players score in double figures, with Eddie Peterson leading all players with 21 points. Dante Baldeh scored 16 and added seven rebounds while Brian Kizzie had 10 points and seven assists. Lawrence Baker also had seven boards.

Juniata will look to snap its six-game losing skid when the Eagles host Waynesburg on Saturday.
