Juniata Tennis Comes Up Short At Albright

Huntingdon, Pa.? The Juniata College men?s tennis team had its five-match winning streak snapped as the Eagles fell for just the second time this season, losing a 6-1 decision at Albright. Juniata is now 5-2 on the year and 2-2 in the Commonwealth Conference, while Albright upped its record to 3-7 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
Juniata claimed its lone win at the second singles position as Brian Sykes (Gateway Regional/Woodburry Heights, N.J.) posted the win. David Bullock (Central Bucks East/Jamison) lost a tight battle at his third singles match. Bullock forced a long third set but fell by a score of 6-4, 5-7, 10-8.
Albright claimed all three doubles matches. Cohen and Nelson played the tightest doubles match at the second doubles spot, falling by an 8-5 margin.
Juniata gets back in action on Tuesday with a non-conference match against non-conference foe Lycoming.
