Eagles Post Solid Efforts In Two Relays

Philadelphia, Pa.? The Juniata College men?s track and field team sent two relay teams to compete at the legendary Penn Relays Friday afternoon in Philadelphia.
In the 4x100 relay the Eagle team of Gary Ondecko Jr. (Bishop Carroll/Northern Cambria), Dustin Sier (Gaithersburg/Gaithersburg, Md.), Jonathan Booth (Allentown Central Catholic/Allentown) and Randy Anderson (DuBois/DuBois) raced to an eighth-place finish in a heat of nine teams. The team recorded a time of 43.95 in the race.
In the 4x400 Ondecko, Sier and Anderson were joined by Ben Beas (Kiski Prep/Johnstown) as the quartet ran to a ninth-place finish in a heat of 15 teams. The group posted a time of 3:28.49 in the race.
The complete Eagle men?s and women?s teams will be in action on Saturday as Juniata hosts Messiah and Gettysburg for a home meet.
