Huntingdon, Pa. After three meets this past week the Juniata College track and field team has three athletes provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships. The championships will be held May 26-28 in Waverly, Iowa.

Senior Kira Troutman (Line Mountain/Valley View) leads the qualifiers as she is currently ranked 21st in Division III in the javelin. Troutman earned her best performance of the season with a first-place finish in the javelin at the Baldwin-Wallace Twighlight Meet posting a throw of 132' 10". Troutman has qualified for the NCAA Championships in each of her four seasons.

Senior Jeremy Weber (Garden Spot/Mohnton) also earned a provisional qualifying mark for the Eagles this past week. Weber jumped to a season-best effort of 23' at the Elizabethtown Last Chance Meet this past Wednesday. His jump has him ranked 31st in NCAA Division III in the long jump.

Juniata sophomore Randy Anderson (DuBois/DuBois) is also a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships. Anderson earned his qualifying mark in the 200-yard dash when he won the event in a time of 21.77 at the MAC Championships. The time ranks Anderson 29th in the country, and was a school-record time.

The final qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships will be announced Monday May 23.
