The loss dropped Juniata to 9-5-1 overall and 2-2 in the conference, while the Flying Dutchmen are 2-9-2 and 1-4 The only goal of the match came on a first-half penalty kick Juniata keeper Lisa Russo (Lakeland/Haskell, N.J.) took down a Lebanon Valley player in the box, leading to the penalty. Juniata did little to threaten the lead for the first half as the Eagles had one shot in the first 45 minutes. Lebanon Valley managed just four shots in the first half, as both teams played strong defense. The offenses picked up in the second half but Juniata was unable to find an equalizer. The Eagles fired off seven shots in the period and forced Lebanon Valley keeper Erika Ely to make three saves, but they were unable to find the back of the net. After making two saves in the first half, Russo stopped another two shots in the second stanza to help keep Juniata in striking distance. Juniata returns to action on Thursday with a non-conference match at Mount Aloysius. ###
