SELINSGROVE, Pa. - On the strength of a 7-2 road victory over Commonwealth Conference foe Susquehanna Friday afternoon in Selinsgrove the Juniata College men\'s tennis team clinched a berth in the conference postseason for the second-consecutive season. Juniata (4-3, 3-2 Commonwealth) can secure the third seed for the four-team postseason with a victory over Moravian in its Commonwealth finale on Saturday. A loss to the Greyhounds would put Juniata as the fourth seed. Susquehanna fell to 1-6 with the loss and 1-4 in Commonwealth play. The Eagles got off to a strong start by sweeping the three doubles contests to build a 3-0 lead. Juniata then picked up wins at third-through-six singles to pick up the victory. Juniata battled to a tough win at first singles as Brandon Long (Lebanon/Lebanon) and Jarrad Silver (Walt Whitman/Bethesda, Md.) claimed a 9-8 victory with a 7-4 win in the tie-break. Casey Chew (Phoenixville/Phoenixville) and Aaron Rhodes (Huntingdon/Huntingdon) eased to an 8-3 win at second doubles, and Jau Feixas (University of Barcelona/Barcelona, Spain) and Jonathan Skoner (Central Catholic/Pittsburgh) matched the score with an 8-3 triumph at third doubles. At singles each of Juniata\'s wins came in straight sets. Ryan Navarro (Bishop Guilfoyle/Altoona) earned his first win of the season by claiming a 6-0, 6-2 win at third singles. Long was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at fourth singles for Juniata. Chew and Rhodes also picked up singles wins to match their doubles triumphs. Each player earned 6-2, 6-0 wins with Rhodes winning at fifth singles, and Chew winning at the sixth position. Skoner was unable to come away with a win at first singles as Todd Adams defeated him 6-3, 6-2. Silver fell by a 3-6, 6-4, 10-4 score to Matt Mitchell in a third-set super tiebreaker.
