ST. LOUIS -- The Juniata College women\'s volleyball team dispatched the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of La Verne, both top 20 opponents, to come away undefeated at the Teri Clemens Invitational. The tournament wrapped up Saturday at Washington University in St. Louis. The Eagles downed Wisconsin-Whitewater, 31-29, 30-27, and 30-21, and then proceeded to defeat La Verne, 30-23, 31-29, 29-31, and 33-31. Amber Thomas (Ephrata, Pa./Conestoga Valley) combined for 41 kills in the two games. Erin Albert (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) and Megan Lamens (Schellsburg, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) each had 16 kills in the win over La Verne, while Paige Johnston (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) had 15 in the victory over UW-Whitewater. Beth Kozak (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) had four blocks in the Whitewater win, and Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) had four aces. Megan Sollenberger also logged 31 digs in the win over La Verne, while Molly Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) had 23 digs. -30-
