HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The second-ranked Juniata College women\'s volleyball team will begin its national championship title defense at the Gardner Athletic Center on the campus of Haverford College. The Eagles (33-4) received an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Women\'s Volleyball Championship field, and will face Philadelphia Biblical University (30-8) in the first round at the Haverford regional, on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 1:00 p.m. Should Juniata advance, it would face the winner of the Salisbury-Christopher Newport match on Friday, Nov. 9, at 4:30 p.m. The regional final will be played on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7:00 p.m. This will be Juniata\'s 27th appearance in the NCAA tournament; the Eagles are the only school to appear in all 27 NCAA Division III women\'s volleyball tournaments. Juniata captured the Landmark Conference Women\'s Volleyball Championship, but gained entry into the 61-team tournament field through a \"Pool B\" at-large berth due to the fact the Landmark has no NCAA automatic qualifiers for its first two years. The PBU Crimson Eagles earned their way into the tournament through an automatic qualifier from the North Eastern Athletic Conference. PBU defeated Baptist Bible College, 3-2, to win the NEAC tournament, and will be making the first appearance in an NCAA tournament event for any Philadelphia Biblical University team. Ticket prices for the event are $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students with ID, and $ for children under 12. -30-
