BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore Laura Rupprecht (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) was the top Juniata College performer as the Eagle men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional meet, Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa. As a team, the women placed 11th out of 37 complete teams in the event. The Juniata men's squad was 12th out of 41 complete teams. Rupprecht finished 24th overall out of 267 runners in the women's 6 km race, posting a time of 22:44. Aubrey Cyphert (North East, Pa./Seneca) was 62nd overall in a time of 23:43, followed closely by Meghan Jones (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) in 66th position with a time of 23:45. Megan McQuillan (Severna Park, Md./Seton Keough) rounded out Juniata's list of top 100 finishers, placing 85th overall in a time of 24:00. The men's cross country squad was led by Sam Williams (Roaring Spring, Pa./Central) in 51st place, after completing the 8 km course in 26:26. Eric Hoover (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) was 59th overall with a time of 26:35, while Matt Bailey (East Petersburg, Pa./Hempfield) was 62nd overall in 26:37. Jason Hoover (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) was 71st overall in a time of 26:41, and rounded out Juniata's top 100 finishers in the men's race. -30-
