SCRANTON, Pa. -- Some strong individual performances highlighted the Juniata College swimming team\'s tri-meet with Landmark Conference rivals University of Scranton and Goucher College, held Saturday, Nov. 17, in Scranton, Pa. Overall, the Eagles fell to both Scranton, 128-16, and Goucher, 109-16. Freshman Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) posted a pair of third place finishes, placing third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:13.98, as well as in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 27.21. Kasey Brough (Gardners, Pa./Carlisle West) finished fourth in the 200 Freestyle, posting a time of 2:12.50, and also finished fourth in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:47.79. Juniata had two of the top five finishers in the 100 Butterfly: Rachel Gipe (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal), who was fourth in 1:11.20, and Kelly Serfling (Frederick, Md./Urbana) in fifth place with a time of 1:14.07. In the relay events, Juniata was fourth in both the 200 Medley Relay (2:09.54) and the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:53.28). The Eagle swimming team returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 1, when they begin competition at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, Pa. -30-
