ITHACA, N.Y. -- Juniata College senior Matt Booth (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) improved his provisional qualifying mark in the long jump for the NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, at the Cornell Invitational on Saturday in Ithaca, N.Y.

Booth finished second in the competition with a jump of 23-3 ½ (7.10m), a personal best that improved upon his previous NCAA provisional mark of 23-1 ¾ (7.05m), set last weekend at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 22-24, 2008, at the J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wis. The meet is hosted by the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.
