Women's volleyball completes Landmark sweep with win over USMMA

KINGS POINT, N.Y. -- The Juniata College women's volleyball team completed a season sweep of its Landmark Conference opponents, with a 3-0 win over the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Sunday afternoon in Kings Point, N.Y.
Set scores in the game were 25-5, 25-11, and 25-16.
Juniata was led offensively by Kristin Noetzel (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) and Paige Johnston (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) with eight kills each, with Johnston also scoring some points at the net with two blocks.
Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) had 13 digs to go with six service aces. Beth Kozak (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) recorded 17 assists while Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) tallied 13 assists.
Juniata (17-1, 6-0) will return to action next Friday night when the Eagles face their archrivals from the University of La Verne in a tournament in La Verne, Calif.
