SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- A goal by Juniata College sophomore Paula Price (Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro) with 15:35 remaining in regulation lifted the Eagle field hockey team to a 1-0 win over Kenyon College, in a game played Sunday afternoon in Slippery Rock, Pa.

Freshman Kara Buda (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) was credited with the assist on Price's goal.

Eagle goalie Abby Funk (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) logged six saves on her way to the complete game shutout victory, while Kenyon goalie Karen Thompson played all 70 minutes in the Ladies' goal and turned aside three shots on goal.

Kenyon outshot Juniata 10-4, and had a 7-3 advantage in penalty corner opportunities.

Juniata will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 23, when it hosts Wesley College (Del.) at 3:30 p.m. on Winton Hill Field in Huntingdon, Pa.
