Dickmann named Landmark Volleyball Player of the Week

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College middle hitter Cassie Dickmann (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week, for the week ending September 26, 2008.
Dickmann hit .424 for the week, tallying 29 kills on 59 swings, with highs of 10 kills against both Washington & Lee and Carnegie Mellon. She had just four attack errors over the four games. Dickmann also recorded seven digs from her middle hitter spot.
The Eagles went 3-1 for the week, defeating W&L, New York University, and Carnegie Mellon University to go 3-0 at the Wid Guisler Invitational in Huntingdon. Earlier in the week, Juniata fell 3-0 to California University (Pa.), ranked #19 in the AVCA Division II poll.
Juniata (30-3, 6-0 Landmark) will travel to Atlanta this weekend to face #2 Emory University on Friday, Oct. 31, along with Lee University (Tenn.) and Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday, Nov. 1.
