HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Four Juniata College student-athletes have been named to the Landmark Conference Fall 2008 All-Academic Team, which was announced Tuesday.

Two male and two female student-athletes from each of the eight Landmark Conference institutions were selected for the team, which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. Nominees may compete in any of the Landmark Conference fall sports, and must be a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better.

Juniata selections to the Landmark Conference All-Academic Team are:

Aaron Bray, Men's Soccer, Jr., Greenville, Pa./Greenville
Engineering Physics
Aaron was a key player for the Juniata men's soccer program in 2008; he saw action in all 18 games for the Eagles this season, and scored his first career goal. He is studying engineering physics at Juniata he is a two-time Landmark Academic Honor roll honoree and is a member of Juniata's Society of Physics Students.

Cassie Dickmann, Women's Volleyball, Sr., Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville
Psychology
Cassie was a first-team All-Conference performer for the Juniata volleyball team that won the Landmark title and reached the NCAA semifinals. Ranked third on the team in kills and points per set, and was fourth in blocks. A three-time Academic Honor Roll pick as a psychology major, she's earned Dean's List distinction five-straight semesters.

Christine Schott, Women's Soccer, Sr., Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili
Management, secondary emphasis in Politics
Christine helped the Juniata women's soccer team to its second-straight Landmark postseason appearance. She was a key member of the Eagles defense that allowed a Landmark low 71 shots and just 14 goals in 16 matches. A management major with a secondary emphasis in politics, she spent a semester studying in Gambia.

Sam Williams, Men's Cross Country, Jr., Roaring Spring, Pa./Central
Mathematics
Sam earned first-team All-Conference honors with his third-place finish at the Landmark Cross Country Championships, after claiming second-team honors last season. He's earned a spot on the Dean's List every semester at Juniata while pursuing a degree in mathematics.

Member institutions of the Landmark Conference are Catholic University of America, Drew University, Goucher College, Juniata College, Moravian College, Susquehanna University, the University of Scranton, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
