Juniata women's swimming drops narrow loss to Drew

MADISON, N.J. - The Juniata College women's swimming team missed posting its first win of the season by the narrowest of margins, dropping a 95-94 decision to Drew University on Friday evening in Madison, N.J.
Senior Kristin Musselman (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) posted a pair of first place finishes for the Eagles (0-7). Musselman won the 200 Freestyle in a time of 2:10.53, and later won the 100 Butterfly with a mark of 1:05.71.
Sophomore Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) also captured an individual first place finish, winning the 100 Freestyle in a time of 58.88 seconds.
The Eagle 200 Freestyle Relay squad of Rachel Gipe (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School), Paige Black (Altoona, Pa./Tyrone Area), Evan Beatty (Hershey, Pa./Hershey), and Elise Ebert (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) won the event with a time of 1:48.86.
Juniata will close out its 2008-09 regular season next Saturday, Jan. 31, when it hosts Penn State-Altoona at 1:00 p.m. at Juniata's Binder Natatorium.
