Eagle men's volleyball holds at no. 3 in Bison/AVCA Division III poll

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College men's volleyball team held its no. 3 position in this week's Bison/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) coaches poll, released Tuesday.
Juniata (4-2, 1-0 vs. Division III) received 209 points, and trail top-ranked Springfield College (4-4, 3-0 vs. Division III) and second-ranked UC-Santa Cruz (4-2, 0-0 vs. Division III). Springfield received 15 first-place votes, while UC-Santa Cruz received one.
Rounding out the top ten were Stevens Institute of Technology, Rivier College, Vassar College, Newbury College, Nazareth College, Ramapo College, and New York University.
The third-ranked Eagles will host fourth-ranked Stevens on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
The Ducks are led by Andrew Cranford, the top hitting player among NCAA Division III statistical leaders, with a .560 attack percentage. Cranford paces a Stevens attack that leads Division III with 16.06 kills per set, and is third in team hitting with a .317 attack percentage.
