HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College women's volleyball associate head coach Heather Pavlik and her husband, Penn State head men's volleyball coach Mark Pavlik, were the subject of a Valentine's Day article in the Centre Daily Times, about juggling their family life while coaching nationally-ranked programs.

"It seemed like a pretty simple question, but Heather Pavlik did not know the answer.

Who is your husband's team playing next week?

She did not have her calendar with her, and she had no idea if, when or where her husband Mark's team, the top-ranked Penn State men's volleyball squad, would be playing.

In a way, it is a pretty typical tale - two successful working parents who have trouble day-to- day coordinating their lives. There are probably thousands of those stories in Centre County alone.

None of those two-job households, however, can claim multiple national championships and helped mold two national players of the year in 2008."
