Juniata track's Erika Brown named Landmark Field Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College freshman Erika Brown (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) was named the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, for the week ending February 22, 2009.
Brown won the long jump at Saturday's Susquehanna Open with a personal best mark of 5-1 ¾ - the second-best indoor mark in Juniata history, and second-best mark in the Landmark this season. The win was Brown's first collegiate event title.
Brown also finished 22nd overall in the long jump with a personal best mark of 14-6.
Juniata will compete this Saturday at the 2009 Landmark Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, being hosted by Susquehanna University.
