BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Jonathan Skoner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) posted wins in both singles and doubles competition, but it was not enough to carry the Eagles to a win as Juniata was felled by Moravian College, 7-2, in Landmark Conference tennis action Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa.

Skoner and partner Aaron Rhodes (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) opened with a 9-8 (7-4) win over Moravian's Kevin Holze and Drew Shreter at no. 2 doubles. Skoner then went on to notch a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Doug Morrow at no. 1 singles.

The Juniata tandem of Arnab Chakrabarti (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) and Jarrad Silver (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) required a tie breaker in their no. 1 double match, eventually falling 9-8 (7-3) to the Greyhounds' Morrow and Nick Yelito.

In singles, Casey Chew (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) came the closest to joining Skoner in the win column with his 6-2, 7-5 loss at no. 6 singles to Moravian's Keith Feinman.

Juniata will face Drew University in the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Tournament, on Tuesday, April 28, in Madison, N.J.
