HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Four Juniata College men's tennis players received All-Landmark Conference honors when the league's post-season honors were announced Thursday.

Senior Jonathan Skoner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) was named to the First Team Singles squad, while junior Jarrad Silver (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) and sophomore Arnab Chakrabarti (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) were First Team Doubles selections.

Silver was also tapped as a Second Team Singles All-Landmark selection, while Skoner and senior Aaron Rhodes (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) were selected for the Second Team Doubles squad.

"I am very proud of our four men who were selected to the all-conference teams," said Juniata head coach Beth Bleil. "These are individual recognitions, but I see it as team recognition. They couldn't have done it without the support and hard work of their teammates. To have such a large percentage of our team be recognized by the conference tells me that we are doing something right with Juniata tennis."

Skoner finished the 2008-09 season with a 10-9 singles record, with a 5-2 mark in Landmark matches and a 9-8 ledger at no. 1 singles. The tandem of Rhodes and Skoner notched an 11-5 record, 11-4 at no. 2 doubles, with a 6-1 mark in Landmark play.

Silver was 11-9 overall in singles competition, 5-2 in the Landmark, with a 9-8 record at no. 2 singles. Silver and Chakrabarti went 5-2 this season in Landmark matches, and had an 8-9 record at no. 1 doubles.

Juniata finished the 2008-09 season with an 11-8 overall record, 4-3 Landmark, for just the third 10-win season in program history. The Eagles qualified for the conference tournament for the third time in the past four seasons, and for the second time under third-year head coach Beth Bleil.
