HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Juniata College's Kim Amrod (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) scored twice in the first seven minutes of the second half to lead the Eagles to a 3-1 win over Ramapo College, Sunday afternoon in the Stevens Field Hockey Invitational in Hoboken, N.J.

Juniata (2-1) was the only squad in the four-team invitational to post a 2-0 record, to claim the tourney crown.

Junior forward Paula Price (Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro) opened the scoring for Juniata with her third goal of the season barely six minutes into the game. Dani Stump (Newport, Pa./Newport) provided the pass into Price, who tipped the ball up high and into the cage.

Amrod notched her second goal of the season with 29:35 remaining in the second half, when she fired home a rebound off Roadrunners' goalie Megan Tierney. Amrod added her second of the game, her third of the season, just a minute and 23 seconds later. Caroline Phillips (Wilmington, Del./Concord) sent in a pass from the top right of the circle, which Amrod finished.

Ramapo (0-3) ended Juniata's shutout bid with 8:24 remaining in the game, when the Roadrunners' Kim Raimondo beat Eagle goalie Moira Nugent (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg).

Nugent finished the game with six saves over her 70 minutes in the Juniata cage, while Tierney recorded six saves for Ramapo. Juniata narrowly outshot Ramapo, 13-12, while the Roadrunners held a 9-6 advantage in penalty corners.

Juniata makes its 2009 home debut on Wednesday, Sept. 9, when it hosts Elizabethtown College at 4:30 p.m. on Winton Hill Field.
