HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Goals by David Grim (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) and Jeff Gring (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) lifted Juniata College to a 2-1 win over Penn State-Harrisburg, in men's soccer action Thursday night.

Grim got Juniata (3-1-0) on the board in the 15th minute, only to see the Lions tied the game at 1-1 barely nine minutes later. Danny Francis scored the Penn State-Harrisburg goal, with assists by Nik Light and Jeff Duke.

The two teams went into the intermission tied at 1-1. Gring broke the deadlock with what proved to be the game winning goal in the 52nd minute, and Juniata held on from there for the victory.

Greg Hess (Hanover, Pa./South Western) was credited with an assist on each of the two Juniata goals.

Eagle keeper Joe Kohler (Vienna, Va./James Madison) recorded three saves against the Lions, while Penn State Harrisburg keeper Toan Ngo logged six saves. Juniata outshot Penn State Harrisburg, 19-10, and recorded five corner kick opportunities to the Lions' one.

Juniata has the weekend off, before returning to action on Wednesday, Sept. 16, when it faces Delaware Valley College in a road match.
