NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Juniata College women's soccer nearly matched Westminster College shot-for-shot but were simply unable to find the back of the net against the Titans, who posted a 1-0 win over the Eagles on Saturday afternoon in New Wilmington, Pa.

Westminster's Shanay Phillian notched the game's only goal in the 68th minute, when her chip beat Juniata keeper Kristen Penska (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) on one of only four Titan shots on goal for the entire game.

Juniata (2-5-0) was outshot 12-10 by Westminster, but the Eagles had a 5-4 edge in shots on goal. Each squad had four corner kicks, but the Titans were whistled three times for offsides.

Westminster (5-2-0) keeper Jenn Cantella finished the match with five saves.

Juniata has just two days to prepare for its next match, which happens on Tuesday, Sept. 22, when the Eagles face Penn State-Harrisburg.
