HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Juniata College men's tennis team notched a win in its first outing of the spring with a 7-2 victory over Eastern Nazarene College, Monday in Hilton Head, S.C.

Jarrad Silver (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) teamed with Arnab Chakrabarti (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) to post a 9-7 win at no. 1 doubles, the closest of three matches in a 3-0 sweep in doubles play. Silver then went on to post a 6-0, 6-3 win over Austin Steelman at no. 1 singles

Scott Andrews (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area) and Andrew Hoffman (Blain, Pa./Susquehanna Township) also posted wins in both doubles and singles play. Andrews and Ross Imbrie (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) picked up an 8-3 win at no. 2 doubles, with Andrews going on to get the 6-0, 6-0 victory at no. 5 singles. Hoffman and Tucker Good (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) recorded an 8-4 win at third flight doubles, and Hoffman closed out singles play with a 6-3, 6-1 win at no. 6 singles.

Juniata (1-4) faces Trine University on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Hilton Head.
