WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Juniata College freshman Jennifer O'Neill (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) belted her record tying fifth home run of the season and senior Rachel Nagy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) smacked a pair of doubles to tie the Juniata career record, but Lycoming College answered with two homers among their 11 hits in Thursday's 5-3 game two win over the Eagles to complete a doubleheader sweep.

Lycoming opened the twinbill with a 9-0 win over Juniata in five innings at Lycoming's Shangraw Complex, behind a two-hitter tossed by Lady Warrior starting pitcher Holly Lansberry.

O'Neill's round-tripper over the left center fence tied game two at 2-2 in the fourth, giving the rookie her fifth of the season to tie the Juniata single season record.

Nagy doubled in the first inning and again to lead off the sixth, giving her 36 doubles for her career to tie the Juniata career mark.

Juniata (13-12) took a one-run lead in the first inning on O'Neill's RBI single to short, scoring Stacy Nagy (Millerton, Pa./Troy) who reached on an error by the second baseman. Lycoming knotted the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first on a Jess Nabholz single, scoring Amy Cline. The Lady Warriors took the lead in the bottom of the third with another run on Janelle Poorman's base hit right field.

After O'Neill's fourth-inning dinger to tie the game, Lycoming (10-20) regained the lead in the fifth on Poorman's home run to left field.

The lead was short-lived as the Eagles tied the game up at 3-3 with one run in the sixth. Melissa Moffat's (Oceanside, Calif./Oceanside) two-out single into center field allowed Rachel Nagy to score, and Moffat moved to third on a Kelsey Shutt (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) base hit to left. However Lycoming got out of the jam on a ground out to short, leaving Moffat stranded at third.

The Lady Warriors plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth on Cline's two-run blast to right field, and Lansberry retired the side in the seventh to close out the win.

Juniata starter Stacy Nagy allowed all five Lycoming runs on 11 hits, and dropped to 6-7 overall with the two losses to Lycoming. Lansberry picked up the win for Lycoming in game two, as she scattered eight Juniata hits and struck out two while issuing no walks.

Rachel Nagy finished 2-for-3 at the plate in game two, while O'Neill also had a pair of hits with two RBI. Moffat also had a 2-for-3 game at the plate, part of her 3-for-4 day over both ends of the doubleheader.

In game one, Lycoming posted four runs in the second inning, keyed by Nabholz's two-run single to right field, to take a 5-0 lead. After a single run in the third inning, the Lady Warriors tacked on three runs in the fourth including two runs on Lansberry's triple to right field. Lansberry scored on the play, crossing the plate on a throw.

The lone Juniata hits came in the fifth, when Moffat and Shutt both singled. An error on Shutt's base hit to left field allowed her to go to second and move Moffat to third with one out, but a line out and a strike out ended the frame with no Juniata runs.

Juniata returns to Landmark Conference play this Saturday, April 17, when it travels to Bethlehem, Pa., to face Moravian College. Game one of the doubleheader begins at 1:00 p.m.
