TOWSON, Md. -- Juniata College senior Maggie Wolenter (Aubudon, N.J./Audubon) and sophomore Katie Healy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) teamed up for a win in doubles and then each carried a win in singles, leading the Eagles to a 6-3 Landmark Conference women's tennis win over Goucher College, Saturday afternoon in Towson, Md.

Wolenter and Healy notched an 8-6 victory at no. 1 doubles over the Goucher tandem of Joan Pulupa and Meaghan Lee, pacing a Juniata squad that came out of the doubles with a 2-1 advantage.

Healy then downed Pulupa in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, at no. 1 singles, while Wolenter took a little longer at no. 2 singles before finally dispatching the Gophers' Mara Bergman, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

Sophomore Hilary Walsh (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) put Juniata over the top for the win, when her 7-6 (8-6), 6-2, triumph over Addie Maxwell at no. 5 singles gave the Eagles their fifth point of the match.

Rachel Adams (McLean, Va./Jakarta Int'l School) logged a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) win at no. 6 singles. In doubles play earlier in the afternoon, Lauren Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and Stacie Beegle (Schellsburg, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) posted an 8-4 win at no. 2 flight over the Goucher pairing of Maxwell and Vickey Casey.

Juniata continues through the Landmark Conference loop on Tuesday, April 20, when it hosts Susquehanna University at 3:30 p.m. on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
