HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Greg Hess (Hanover, Pa/South Western) found the back of the net once, and Juniata College men's soccer held onto that goal in a tight, physical match to defeat Penn State Harrisburg 1-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday on Winton Hill Field.

In the midst of a back and forth, tension filled match, David Grim (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) crossed the ball to Hess who broke the scoreless seal in the 63rd minute for the game-winning goal this afternoon.

The Eagles offense created many opportunities including two shots each from Luke Waddell (Muncy, Pa./Muncy), Noah Bowers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Jeffrey Gring (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley).

Juniata keeper Joe Kohler (Vienna, Va./Cocalico) started in the net and tallied two saves until he sustained an injury in the 40th minute. Brian Trinclisti (Lewistown, Pa./Lewistown) finished out the game in Kohler's place to make three saves in the remainder of the match.

Both keepers faced action as Juniata was outshot by Penn State Harrisburg 18-12 and had four corner kicks compared to six from the Lions. Toan Ngo started in the net for the Lions and made two saves in the first half. In the second half Josh Wolff was charged with the one goal he allowed and made one save.

Next, Juniata travels to Landmark Conference opponent Drew University in Morristown, N.J. this Saturday to play a 3:30 pm. game.
