SCRANTON, Pa. -- A one goal lead 24 minutes into the match was all that The University of Scranton needed to maintain to sneak past Juniata men's soccer 1-0 Saturday in Scranton, Pa.

Corey Radel had the game-winner for the Royals off a flighted ball from Patrick M. Daley.

Although the Eagles were out shot by Scranton 21-13, Noah Bowers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) created some sparks of offense, tallying four shots for the day. Greg Hess (Hanover, Pa./South Western) had two shots.

Juniata keeper Ezra Cassel (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) made 13 saves and allowed the only goal from Scranton in 90 minutes of work. Brandon Dombrowski and James Dillon shared goalkeeping duties for the Royals. Dillon made two saves in the second half while Dombrowski was not challenged.

Scranton out-cornered Juniata 9-3.

Next, Juniata travels to the University of Pitt-Bradford, in Bradford Pa. for a non-conference match this Tuesday to play a 3:00 pm. game.
