KINGS POINT, N.Y. -- The Juniata College women's swimming team finished sixth overall at Sunday's conclusion of the 2011 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, held at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y.

The Eagles beat Goucher College by a full 50 points, totaled 177 points and improved from last years seventh place finish. Juniata trailed Drew University who gained 235 points in the competition while Susquehanna University won the championship with 433 points.

Sunday's results were highlighted by Kelsey Miles (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) second place finish in the 100 Freestyle in 54.98. Falon Snyder (Walnutport, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) placed fourth in the 200 backstroke in 2:16.11, while Kathryn Viola (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:35.27.
