HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College men's volleyball took a share of the top spot in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Top 15 Coaches Poll, as the poll voters scattered their first place votes among five different teams.

Juniata (10-5) received four first-place votes and 217 points in the poll, and were tied with Nazareth College (11-3). The Golden Flyers also garnered four first-place votes and 217 points in the voting.

Stevens Institute of Technology (8-3), who handed Juniata its first Division III loss of the season earlier this week, also picked up four first-place votes and received 200 points to place third in the poll.

Springfield College (3-9) and UC-Santa Cruz (4-6) tied for the fourth spot in the poll. Previously top-ranked Springfield dropped three matches last week, including a Division III loss to Philadelphia Biblical, and finished with 195 points and one first-place vote. UC-Santa Cruz earned three first-place votes in the poll, and also had 195 points.

Philadelphia Biblical (10-2), NYU (6-4), Rivier (13-6), Baruch (13-6), and Carthage (5-8) finished sixth through 10th in the rankings. MIT (13-4), Emmanuel (13-4), Medaille (11-4), Milwaukee School of Engineering (1-6), and SUNY New Paltz (6-8) round out the top 15.

Juniata will face archrival Springfield this Friday, Feb. 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. The Eagles will then host Harvard University in an EIVA Hay Division match on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 2:00 p.m.
