HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College junior Janelle Howard was rewarded with Landmark Conference Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week honors today for her 127 minutes of effort in the Eagles' two Landmark Conference shutout wins this past week.

Howard turned away three Susquehanna University shots last Wednesday in Juniata's 4-0 Landmark Conference victory.

Howard earned her fourth shutout of the season when Juniata downed Moravian College 2-0 on Saturday. Howard led a Juniata defense that only allowed two Greyhound shots in the contest.

Juniata, ranked 19th in the most recent NFHCA Division III coaches poll, will return to the field on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Alvernia University.
