WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Juniata College women's volleyball completed a regular season sweep of its Landmark Conference rivals with a 3-0 win over Goucher College, in Sunday play at the second of two Landmark round robin weekends hosted by Catholic University of America.

Set scores for Juniata were 25-15, 25-16,and 25-13.

The win means Juniata (19-6, 6-0 Landmark) will take the no. 1 seed into the 2011 Landmark Women's Volleyball Championship, and will host the semifinals and championship on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.

Juniata was led by sophomore Rachelle Wiegand's (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) seven kills and four service aces that accounted for 11.0 of Juniata's 51.5 points.

Sophmore middle Courtney Lydick did her fair share of damage to Goucher, putting away five kills and having a hand in seven blocks including two block solos. Juniata outblocked Goucher, 11.5 to 3.0, as the Gophers handed away 28 points on attack errors in the three set match.

Wiegand also had a team-best 13 digs, while junior pin hitter Kelsey Fuller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) had 12 - along with three kills and three total blocks. Setter Courtney Greenberg (Fort Myers, Fla./Fort Myers) had 15 assists for the Eagles, who hit .188 for the match.

Goucher was paced offensively by Trish Kallis and Megan Chalk with seven kills apiece, accounting for the bulk of the Gophers' 19 kills. Sabina Smajlovic led the Gophers with 14 digs, while Ashley Fan and Kristen Courage had 10 each.

Juniata hosts its annual Wid Guisler Weekend this Friday and Saturday at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. The Eagles will face Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7:00 p.m., with a match against Carnegie Mellon University on tap for Saturday, Oct. 22, at 3:00 p.m.
