HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Two candidates for state representative to the 81st District, Republicans Mike Fleck and Richard Irvin, have been invited to participate in a Meet the Candidates Forum at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, in Neff Lecture Hall in the von Liebig Center for Science on the Juniata College campus.

The forum is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the Huntingdon branch of the American Association of University Women and the AAUW Juniata student organization.

The AAUW submitted several questions to the candidates in advance and audience members are encouraged to pose questions as well.

Mike Fleck has been state representative for Pennsylvania's 81st District since 2006. Before entering politics, Fleck was district executive with the Oneida District of the Boy Scouts of America. He currently serves on the executive board of the Boy Scouts' Juniata Valley Council. He earned a bachelor's degree in history in 1991 from Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Va.

Richard Irvin has been Huntingdon County Treasurer since 1996. He also serves as Huntingdon County's tax claims director.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as a member of Huntingdon County United Way and serves on the board of directors for the Centre for Community Services.
