Huntingdon, Pa. – Beginning on Thursday, Nov. 15, the Juniata College Museum of Art will host an exhibition titled, “Mining the Museum: Recent Acquisitions,” with an opening ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Both the exhibition and the opening ceremony are free and open to the public.
Students in Juniata’s Museum Studies Practicum and Museum Education classes will collaborate to develop and install this exhibition, which is the College’s second annual Mining the Museum show.
This year’s theme focuses on recent acquisitions to the Museum’s permanent collection and will include works by Stephen Barbash, Julie Blackmon, Barnard Taylor, and José Quezada, among others.
This exhibition encourages campus and community members to consider the role of the JMCA and help define its future. To see the exhibition or find the JCMA’s hours, visit www.juniata.edu/museum.
