HUNTINGDON, Pa.—The Juniata College board of trustees has added six new members for the start of the 2024–2025 academic year. The newly appointed trustees, Eric Biddle ’82 of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; Stephanie Haines ’92 of Davidsville, Pa.; Bruce Jones ’75 of Fort Lauderdale, Fl.; Judodine P. Nichols of Bozeman, Mt.; Jill Schadler ’91 of Royersford, Pa.; and David Wagner ’85 of Bonita Springs, Fl., will begin their service on Sept. 1, 2024, for three-year terms.  

Eric Biddle earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Juniata College in 1982 and retired from Penn State University as senior assistant director of admission in 2019. His career in college admissions began in 1988 at Juniata College, where he served as assistant director of admission for 10 years. Biddle was inducted into the Juniata College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999 and was a National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) member.   

Stephanie Haines is a United States District Judge with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Juniata in 1992 and her juris doctor at Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1995. Haines served in the United States Army for nine years and the United States Air Force for more than 15 years. She earned her United States Air Force Air War College diploma in 2016. In 2021, Haines retired as a colonel in the United States Air Force after 24 and one-half years of military service. 

Bruce Jones retired as director of PBF Logistics in 2022, having served as chief operating officer for Petroplus in Zug, Switzerland, from 2006–2010. He graduated from Juniata in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science and earned a Master of Science in ecology at Rutgers University in 1978. Jones is an avid sailor and wildlife photographer.   

Judodine P. Nichols is the former chief sustainability officer and vice president of innovation at Radius Recycling, Inc., in Portland, Ore. She earned her bachelor’s degree in agricultural and biological engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, her master’s degree in agriculture and biological engineering at Purdue University, and her doctoral degree in environmental engineering at Penn State University. Nichols was recognized with the Process Excellence Award for most innovative approach to driving culture change in 2017.   

Jill Schadler is the global head of human resources partners and head of United States human resources for Adaptimmune, LLC, based in Philadelphia, Pa., Cambridge, Mass., and Oxford, UK. She earned her Bachelor of Science in human resource management at Juniata College and her Master of Business Administration at West Chester University. Schadler volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Philadelphia, Speranza Animal Rescue, and the Darlington County Humane Society.   

Dave Wagner retired in 2019 after an 11-year career as chief human resources officer and vice president of Coherent. He had a distinguished 23-year career with Owens Corning focusing on international human resources and talent management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Juniata College in 1985. Wagner is a regent and past chair of the Infrastructure and Technology Committee for the Mercersburg Academy and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Braver Angels, where he currently serves as a Pennsylvania State Co-coordinator. Juniata College is a current partner of Braver Angels.
