Huntingdon, PA ? Juniata College senior running back Craig Moshier (Coudersport/Coudersport) was named to the MAC Honor roll for his record-breaking performance in Juniata?s football contest against Albright. Along with offensive, defensive and special teams players of the week, the MAC selects three additional players as honor roll recipients.

For the second time in his career, Moshier established a new Juniata record for rushing yards in a game, as he blitzed the Albright defense for 285 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Moshier shattered the previous single-game best of 222 yards, which he set in Juniata?s 2002 season finale against Lycoming. Moshier finished the day with 285 yards rushing on 38 carries, an average of 7.5 yards per rush. He also added two receptions for five yards, giving him 290 yards of total offense on the game. The contest marked the fourth time the six games this season that the senior back has topped the 100-yard mark.

On the year, Moshier has gained 854 yards and ranks third in the MAC in rushing yards per game with an average of 142.3 yards per contest. He has scored six touchdowns on the season, which ranks him seventh in the MAC. Going back to last season, he has topped 100 yards in eight of Juniata?s last 10 games, and is averaging 154 yards per game over that stretch. With his effort this past Saturday, he now has rushed for 2,769 yards in his career, the second highest total in school history. With four games remaining on Juniata?s regular-season schedule, Moshier is 497 yards away from becoming Juniata?s all-time leading rusher. Moshier already holds the school record for rushing yards in a season, which he set last year.

Moshier is contributing to an offense that ranks second in the conference in both rushing offense, and total offense. Juniata has a 2-4 mark through six games and is 2-3 in the MAC. The Eagles will host Wilkes in conference play on Saturday the 25th.
