Juniata College Earns National Recognition in 2027 U.S. News Rankings

HUNTINGDON, Pa.— Juniata College continues to stand out nationally for the strength of its academic experience and campus community. U.S. News & World Report announced today that Juniata College is ranked #91 among the best national liberal arts colleges, #87 in Top Private Colleges, #60 in Best Value Schools, and #61 in Top Performers on Social Mobility in the publication’s just-released 2027 rankings of nearly 1,500 national colleges and universities.  

“At Juniata, education is about more than what students learn; it is about who they become. We are honored that Juniata College has once again received national recognition,” said Jim Troha, Ph.D., president of Juniata College. “These recognitions reflect the impact of a Juniata education and the extraordinary work of our faculty and staff, who create a distinctive educational experience that prepares students for what comes next.” 

U.S. News & World Report evaluates colleges and universities using a range of data related to academic quality, value, student outcomes and social mobility, among other factors. The annual Best Colleges rankings are designed to help prospective students and their families compare institutions based on factors that may be important to their college search.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings join those of the Washington Monthly, naming Juniata #72 for Best Schools in the Northeast and among the Best Schools in the Country. The Princeton Review deemed Juniata among the top 14% of four-year colleges nationwide based upon surveys of students who attend the 392 best colleges. This publication also ranked the College #3 for “Their Students Love These Colleges,” #6 for Most Accessible Professors; #19 for Happiest Students, #19 for “Lots of Race/Class Interaction;” and #21 for Best Science Lab Facilities. 

Taken together, these recognitions highlight different aspects of the Juniata experience, from academic quality and value to student satisfaction, faculty accessibility, campus community, and opportunities for student success.
