Huntingdon, Pa.â?? In the lone dual meet on the team's schedule, the Juniata College women's track team posted an 83-79 victory over the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in Huntingdon on Wednesday afternoon. The meet was also the only time this season Juniata will compete on its home track.

Juniata posted eight first-place finishes in the meet and also had seven runner-up finishes. Meredith Troutman (Meyersdale/Meyersdale) placed first in both the 200 and 400 meter dashes. Nancy Hayes (Westminster/Westminster, Md.) broke her own school record in the 3,000 meters as she finished the event in a time of 11:10.60 which was good for first place. Also claiming a victory in a running event was Stefanie Rynkewitz (Lewistown/Lewistown) who earned a victory in the 100 meters. The Eagles also placed first in the 4x100 meter relay.

In the field events Kira Troutman (Line Mountain/Valley View) placed first in the shot put. Andrea Denkovich (Greencastle-Antrim/Greencastle) earned a win in the discus and Stephanie Wasylyk (Honesdale/Uniondale) placed first in the pole vault.

Juniata will return to action this weekend as they compete at the Bucknell Bison Classic over the weekend.
